Dr. Beth Bernthal – Clinical Audiologist
Dr. Beth Bernthal provides comprehensive hearing services to our patients of all ages. She diagnoses hearing loss and fits hearing aids. She is known to describe her audiology career as, “So rewarding…a wonderful choice of life’s work…and a daily opportunity to help, share and grow”.
Dr. Bernthal’s professional practice has spanned many years in a variety of settings. Before joining Otolaryngology Specialists of North Texas, she worked with an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician in Plano Texas. She spent many years as a faculty associate and clinical supervisor in the doctorate audiology programs at the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center and at the University of North Texas Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She’s also worked in medical centers, private practices, and hearing instrument settings. Dr. Bernthal is devoted to serving patients with hearing difficulties and their families. She is committed to bringing best practices and current technology to our patients.
Dr. Bernthal earned her doctor of audiology degree from the University of Florida, and her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in audiology and communication disorders at Western Michigan University. She is licensed to practice audiology by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Dr. Bernthal is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology. She holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. When she isn’t at work, Dr. Bernthal enjoys family time, travel, theater and museums, and sports.
